After running the Dead Birds Writing Group for a few years, the two ladies realized they had a gaggle of writers who could write a fantastic collection of stories. When a slew of stories came in based on a writing prompt they tried for fun, they decided to publish the collection. Instead of outsourcing the stories for publication, they decided to put their combined years of marketing, communication, and editing skills to use in a horrific and creative way. Mike Faricy's novels are filled with oddballs we're all curious about but wisely prefer to keep at a distance. His characters serve not so much as an example as they do a warning. None of them will be saving the world from terrorism, international banking conspiracies, or coups to take over the government. His characters inhabit a world just below the surface of polite society. The circumstances they find themselves in are usually due to their own bad decisions, but then bad decisions make for interesting stories. mikefaricybooks.com
